Well, im back online!

After a few months of hectic days, nights & hours, Ive finally managed to update to keep you all informed of my unusual ramblings across the country.

Have been busy breaking in the new apprentice, as well as getting Rivercourt Coaches up & running and moving the MVPSI into their new depot, which is finally ready for vehicles.

Along with that ive been making regualr trips to Cork draggin vehicles from Belfast as well as a few from my own collection. Its been a busy few months and Ive worked in my day job from 7 to 4 monday to friday all the way through it as well! About time for a rest i think!

Otherwise its been very boring, im just back from Athlone with the Operations Manager, Aaron Donohoe, where we were inspecting vehicles to be donated to the MVPSI, but found the vehicles to be in very bad condition and only suitable for scrapping i reckon, but sure who am I to say, its not as if Im qualified!!

See you when I see you....

Apology not accepted.

Im really sorry for not updating lately, its just ive been so busy working, driving, sleeping as well as respraying a coach (not easy over here). Ah sure im back now, and have a lot of news, more than i can bare to recall, At the moment im just back relaxing after having sprayed the 00MOPlaxton Premier ( Same as my beloved 00G bus) and have done another Stevie Wonder job on it.

Ive given a bit of thought to this, so took pictures so I can share with everyone across te globe that reads my blog (all 7 of you) so that you can wave the next time you see the bus with me driving her, as she is my new 'little baby'.

In the Meantime, ive managed to get Suzi 355 SZB back on the road again, and have gotten hold of another apprentice to lend a hand in the general arsing around, now that Mr Donohoe has become a leaving cert head!

Friday feelings!

Well, Sorry I havent updated this over the past few days, ive been a bit as you say in the states, busaay! Finally I have today off to laze around the house.

Friday was a very quiet day, did me school run in the morning, washed the bus, got some lunch in Newtown and like that, headed off for me school. Half two and out they came, loaded up and off we went. Did the drop offs and was heading for the yard around 3pm when the screen of death for a friday evening off showed up 'Kevin calling'. Ah well, I knew it was too good to be true so answered on the seventh ring, just to keep him in suspense! Great stuff, Ive only to belt it down to Kilcoole to do another school run, and then im finished. So off we went, got down, loaded up and had the usual bit of chat with d kids, and off we went. Dropped them off and abandoned the bus back up in the yard. Jumped in the Van and I was off. Called up to Karl for a few hours, and we were arsin around d house yappin on about his failed attempt of resitting his maths examfor college. We were kicked out of d house and decided to go for a walk on the Bray seafront. Ended up over Bray head and decided to turn back, mainly cause I was in bits!! Dropped the chief home for his hot date that night.
Headed off for a chipper and sat in d van listenin to d radio for a while when I was devouring the chickenfillet burger! Got a call around half ten to collect d lads from Storm nd off I went, we ended up with 4 of us in the van, with 'crazy claire' coming back with us, threw her out at the townhouse and headed into Mc Donalds in Bray. Headed back the other way, and Dar had a few problems with the seatbelt, mainly because he was scuttered and left half of it out the door! Found a bike in Greystones and dropped the lads off at the chipper, Finally got home aroun 2am nd was bolloxed.

My School buses, past & Present

This is the OO G, or known as the White bus. She was sold during the year but was a fabulous machine and I spent a lot of time in her across the country.
Really prefer her to any other bus!
Here is the new member for they year, shes nice to drive but wheres the character!

And with that, the rest of my life begins.

Well it was probably one of the most unusual days of the year.

6.15 and off went the alarm clock. Has been so long and i nearly just turned it off. Decided to get up anyway and left the house bang on 7am. Headed up to the yard to get the bus, having been allocated my own school run at last, due to the other driver having retired to Australia. Anyway got in and started her up. Ive been allocated the Temsa Safari 97, commonly known as 'the one with no machine'. Left and headed out to start the run at 7.30. Arrived at Ballinteer to collect the minder and sure enough, come 8 o clock she appeared and off we went.

This year ive been given a completely different school run, in some ways its better, and in others its not but what can ye do. At least ive been given a new bus, and I know its new and better than the old one... but I really want the good oul white bus back!

Picked up the first lot of Kids in Balally, carried on down the road to Dundrum for another two, then off to Cabinteely, A few others on the way at Tallagh, Jobstown as well as Firhouse. Then its on to the small primary school in Ballinteer.

Pulling up it was nice enough, and every one of the kids said thank you and wished me a good day! I was amazed at the manners, considering most of them have learning difficulties (from what I can gather)
Headed up to the yard then, and arsed around for a while, then headed over to Kilternan to get rid of the last few bits of the double deck bus which was scrapped a couple of months ago.
Got back to the school at 2pm, and put me feet up till 2.30, when the faces started to appear.

As I loaded up, one of them handed me a picture she had drawn that morning of me with the bus. It was very good and i hung it on my wall the minute I got home.

Dropped them off and was back in the yard for 3.30pm, and the possibility is that I could be drafted in to cover my old school in the evenings anyway, but sure i would'nt mind that.
Last year I was put on Colaiste Craobh Abhainn school run, from Kilcoole to Newtownmountkennedy, and over the year got to know everybody on the bus and was great crac. I miss doing it because it was so quick and handy, and the fact that ye could have a bit of crac with them as opposed to the primary school.
Ah sure im not complaining, ill get used to this eventually and it should turn out ok, ill just miss my old school run, but hey its not all that bad, apparently ive been earmarked for it after Christmas! ye hay...

On the way home called up to Johnnie Fox's pub and moved the old double decker back into its parking space, I amazed everyone when She drove out onto the road and on up on the 44b route! a pricless photo!
Well ive settled into a nights rest now, and off I go for a bit of sleep and we'll see what tomorrow holds for the countries youngest school bus driver!

Goodnight to Everyone!
